Some people don't like big breeds as they lack space at home. Others prefer them, not only for their appearance, but also the security and protection they provide.
1. Newfoundland
This breed can weigh up to 70 kg. Their fur may give them a bear-like look, but they're affectionate and easy going dogs.
2. Anatolian Shepherd
Whether puppies or adults, this breed is gentle, but can weigh up to 65 kg.
3. Tibetan Mastiff
This breed has a thick, lion-like mane. Adults can weigh a hefty 45 to 72 kg
4. French Mastiff
French Mastiff puppies are small, cute and hard to educate. Once fully grown, they can weigh up to 63 kg.

5. Bernese Mountain Dog
This breed can weigh up to 45 kg but these dogs are known for their extremely gentle nature.
6. Saint Bernard
Saint Bernards can reach a 1m shoulder height and weigh more than 113 kg.
7. Great Dane

12. Leonberger
This breed is very loyal, courageous and obedient. As adults, they're huge and can weigh up to 70 kg.
13. Cane Corso
These large dogs can weigh over 45 kg. Even so, they're loving and enjoy a good cuddle.
14. Black Russian Terrier
This breed is bursting with energy and enthusiasm. Their large size doesn't undermine their adorably cute appearance.
15. Neapolitan Mastiff
This breed is very loyal, affectionate and gets on well with both adults and kids. They're sometimes wary of strangers and can weigh up to 58 kg.
